Does anyone have experience with any of the chinese off-brand smaller cc bikes? Bikes like CFMOTO, Tank, etc. Are they worth considering when looking for a bike?

Not so sure about the Chinese bikes, but the Hyosungs (Korean) are supposed to be OK. Not necessarily as good all around as Japanese counterparts, but not bad, and I know they are becoming more popular. If I recall a Motorcyclist Magazine article, the brakes, suspension and handling are less concise and predictable, but still not bad. However, If you're looking at a smaller version, I'd recommend looking at the Ninja 250 which is redesigned this year and has been reviewed as a really good bike overall, and MSRP is about $3500.
