I've had my magna for a few years now and have been trying to find some nice additions for it. I'd love new pipes, but i'm not sure where to find them. I'm also not sure how much this would affect the ride. I've been told that the baffels have to be there because of the compression of the engine and if i take them out it will make it run rough. I'd really like to dress it up and enter it in some bike shows because its already almost mint condition with about 18k miles. Any suggestions?

First....yes, you will lose a bit of performance if you remove your baffles.

Re aftermarket systems, I'm not sure which model you have, but Vance & Hines, Cobra and Bub make pipes for the Magna 750. There may be others, also. Good luck.

i've got the 1985 v65 magna. i've found one place that has slip on pipes and thats from j&p. even if i go custom though i'll need a jet kit and i checked out dynajet kits and they skip right over my bike. they have them for the 83-84 and 86 but not the 85. i emailed them and asked what the deal was and their reply was that the 85 was a much different bike than the others. is there a way to modify one of those jet kits? or should i just pay big bucks and take it to a custom shop?
