im looking at getting a 2007 cbr 600rr i have dirt bike experiance and 5 years of motocross and cross country on 450cc 60hp race quads. if you start out slow no gassing it and shifting early in the rpm rage is this bike easy to learn on if you know what you are doing

the quads won't help, other than the idea of a manual transmission, (which you already know from moto).

with that much dirt experience, you may be OK, but I would absolutely stress taking it very easy, (and if it were me or my family member, I'd start street riding with less bike) and taking the MSF beginning riders course, to get a feel for the differences between dirt and street.
