| I am currently looking at a VRSCDX Night Rod Special and was set on buying one until I saw the 8-Ball. I am on the fence now and don't know if it's worth spending more for the Harley. Anyone have any suggestions?

| Well the first thing to do is to ride one. Although you may have a hard time finding a Harley dealer that will let you. You will have no hard time finding a Victory dealer that gives demo rides they love to see the expression on peoples faces when they come back. I have a 2006 Hammer that is bullet-proof. The Vic line is quality all the way but don't take mine or anyone elses word for it ride them both and decide.

| The thing I like most about the Victory dealers is how they seem to really want you to come in and take a test ride. Harley dealers... not so much. The riding position of the 8 Ball beats the V Rod hands down.

| | you sound like you want the all black like i wanted,, i just bought an 05 hammer, coming from a person who 2 months ago hated chrome,.. one thing to keep in mind is i think the blacked out bike thing is a fad and will look stupid in a couple of years, but one thing for sure,, buy the eight ball, and spend the extra you have left over on a fat tire conversion |
