| Hello. I am a beginner cyclist and was recommended to Bonneville for entry bike. I need to sit upright, legs straight. Want back rest for second passenger. I'm looking for a used bike as well. Id appreciate your addtional information about the bike and how you found it. Thanks alot.

| I'd go with a Honda Nighthawk 250 first if I were you. Bonneville is very heavy for a newbie.

| Keep in mind if you drop and dent something pretty, it ain't pretty on the wallet to replace. I think the Bonne gas tank is $700 or something. Beat up cheap used ugly bikes are great to learn on for a summer. Or invest in protection for the bike, frame/ engine guards, Lsl sliders, bar ends etc. I know of many first time riders on the Boneville and Thruxton. Depends on the rider, I guess.
If I had to learn on something real small like a 250 Rebel I wouldn't have learned. |
