| | I have a 06 and a 07. On both I tighten the chain and after a 5 minute test run it is loose again. I am following the Owners Manual on how to do it on page 84-85. Remove the chain guard. Loosen the chain guide. Loosen the two eccentric locking bolts. Loosen the caliper mounting bolt. Insert pin lock it all. If I idle down the street it stays tight but if I wiend on it at all the torque is loosening it again. The book says to torque locking bolts to 30-45 ft lbs. I have tried 80 and still slips. Could it be some grease has gotten between Swing arm and the Axle where it clamps? Next I am going to try replacing the locking bolts... Not sure what that will do but thinking maybe they stretched. I see on eBay a tool for wrenching on the 2.5 inch alxe hex but don't see where this will help as inserting the pin works fine. How do I know if the chain is worn out. Could that be it? |

| | do not over torque the axle bolts to 80 lbs. there are bearings inside the axle housing witch you will ruin and have to replace if you over torque the those bolts. |
