| I don't know which model year bike you have, but it is highly unlikely that the wrong octane would cause your bike to not start. Although, whenever a fuel injection system detects a change in the type of fuel that is provided, it will often spit and sputter momentarily while it makes an internal adjustment.
Again, check your manual for your bike and be certain it calls for premium, and not regular or a middle grade gas. You should always use the lowest octane called for. In fact, contrary to what many incorrectly believe, lower octane fuel will actually produce more power due to the manner in which it burns....again, IF that bike doesn't call for premium gas.
I really can't sit here and troubleshoot your problem, but you may want to pull your plugs and be certain they're okay and are not wet, etc., then try starting your bike again.

| with having less experience overall, you're pretty likely to have better results if you take the bike in for service at this point. let the service department get this figured out and start fresh after that. basically, and I truly hope you don't take offense to this, If you can't find a spark plug by intuition or sight, you aren't at an experience level where you should be taking them out.
If you really don't want to do that, you need to get an owners manual before you start trying to take too much stuff apart to look at it. Keep in mind if you do want to check or replace the spark plugs that you'll need a spark plug socket, (not just a regular one), and a plug gapper, (and know the correct gap for the plugs), and you'll want to know what to look for, (cracks, burning, fouling).
I agree with Morg that the wrong octane shouldn't directly cause this much trouble.
I'm not telling you not to try to work on your own bike, but I think you need a little more base knowledge than you have, from the sound of it. This forum can be very helpful, but for tecnical repair, an experienced friend or family member who can show you hands on will be of much greater value. Like Morg said, its pretty hard to figure this sort of stuff just by reading what's happening.
Again, please don't take offense to this. I'm certainly not a proficient repairman myself. I do what I know how to, and when I'm stumped I ask for help or service. I just think that you may be at a place where some help from a friend or a service department may be in order.
