| | I was wanting to know if anyone has had any bad experiences with the 800 polaris. I've had mine now for about 8 months and I can't seem to find anything I don't like about it. I just had a loose elec wire problem but that was pretty minor, dealer helped me through it on the phone. gas milage kinda stinks but plenty of room to carry more. I have heard of weak front axle shafts, but nothing to confirm it, and that may have been from adding to large of aftermarket tire. |

| I have a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 800 and can go 80+ miles on a tank. -Stock, no modifications.
The tank holds 4.13 gallons.
So, I get around 20 MPG on dirt roads in AWD.
But, I do carry another one gallon plastic can along with.
I usually start out at 4,500 ft. ASL and go up the Bighorn Mtns. at over 9,000 ft., to give you an idea.
Another factor may be the fact that I use 91 super unleaded all of the time.
In driving cars I usually get 10% better gas mileage using super unleaded.
I haven't tried regular yet in the ATV.
Anybody got a comment?
