My 2001 triumph tt600 is acting up right now. Making louder noise than usual and RPMs are really low. It is also back firing. Has anyone ever experienced this? What is the problem and how much would the fix cost?

Sounds like you need to synchronize your throttle bodies. You can do it yourself, but you will need special tools, or you can get your local Triumph dealer to service the bike. The latter sounds like the best choice, because they can also check timing and engine diags.
