| | My 2001 Honda Rancher is shifting the wrong way. I just rebuilt the engine completely and now when I got it back together it shifts the wrong way. By this I mean when you push the up button it shifts down. It will shift fine with the hand shifter but when I use electric it will only shift into reverse from neutral. If I shift into first with the hand shifter I can go 1-4 all day but when I hit 5 it will still try to shift up but not down. If I shift into neutral it will only shift into reverse and will still try to shift down. |

| | sounds like when you rebuilt it you reversed the wiring. |
