| Been considering buying this bike but have only one concern, my knees. I'm used to stretching them out onto forward pegs and can't keep them in a bent position for too long. Should I rule out this style bike and keep with touring bikes?
Thanks

| I have a 2000 k1200lt that I bought on Ebay in Feb. It is equiped with after market hiway pegs and I use them a lot on longer trips. I had an Honda St100 befor this bike so handleing was improtant to me along with the touring aceouterments. I have not been disappointed. If you want to break away from the hiway and do some mountain riding and feel more in control in the curves, hands down... choose the k1200lt. If you are staying on the interstate and want a long smooth ride in a motorcycle rather than on it...I am told the GW has some advantages.

| From what I can see, you have three options:
1) get a peg lowering kit which will drop you down about 1.5" and forward as well.
2) Purchase the mico-pegs which are retractable. They retract under the wings. They will give you that stretched out feel.
3) Buy after market floorboards.
I have heard many good things about the mico-pegs and was considering them myself.
