How did you mount you saddlebags on this bike? Also how would you mount a tail bag on this bike I purchased one I thought would fit and could not figure out how to mount it.

I used slant bags from JC Whitney and tied them to the 'grab strap across the saddle. For supports I used 1/8" aluminum flat stock 2"wide forming a "vee". The chrome pieces were removed and the bolts passed thru the predrilled holes in the stock into the fender supports. The bottom of the "vee" was aligned with the tiedown points on the bags and marked. Everything was drilled for bolts and and tiedown holes. All was reassembled and installed using spacer washers as needed. The supports keep the bags out of the wheels, and the bags cover the supports. Money saved: at least $80. Enjoyment: maximun. Kudos: a lot, even from the bike shop. Add a tank bag to stop the glare of the chrome. plus a handlebar windshield and I now have a fine looking bike. Removed the tank badges and now none know the brand.
