I sat on the one o nine and the handle bars seemed a little far away. I'm 5 10 so I'm not short. Is this a problem with anyone else? Thanks.

Ken, I'm just 2-inches taller than you, and I felt a bit awkward with the riding posture and bar position at first as well. It grows on you, is all I can say. Now, I don't know how I ever felt comfortable in other riding positions. The position is VERY relaxed, bent slightly forward, with your legs out front. To most of us, that is a completely new riding position.

Hi Ken,
I'm an inch shorter than you and I've put over 3500 miles on mine without any comfort complaints. I do stretch a little to reach the bars but I think that actually helps because you sit on the soft part of your rear instead of your tail bone.

I'm 6'0 but the reach is fine for me. This bike is designed to put you in a more forward position. Just rode 150 miles with no problems.
You can adjust the handlebars up and that will help. There are also aftermarket risers that will bring the bars back at different intervals.

Hi Guys,
I'm only 5'7" and find the bars great but the forward controls are too far forward and find I need to sit closer to the fuel tank to have any sort of foot control. Hard acceleration pushes me back making fast gear changes a bit difficult. I think the footpegs would be better positioned directly below the knee for normal riding with highway pegs out front in the current position for cruising. The standard exhaust system makes it impossible for any foot control modifications so I'm fitting a pair of Cobra Dragsters which should open things up nicely for some mods. Incidently, the standard exhaust weighs 61lbs or 28Kgs and extremely restricted I've been told so I'll be glad to get rid of it.

Cheers, Manny
