| The tank 3.7 gal. seems small for a bike classified as a "tour bike". Does it have a reserve tank? How many miles do you get on a tank? I assume it takes premium unleaded only? Does the engine get hot after riding for a while ... similar to the wait at a stop light? I had thought it was liquid cooled instead of air cooled.
Thanks for the informaton. I am debating between this bike and the Honda VTX 1300. |

| | I have a 2005 C90T, bought July 2005, 3200 miles and counting. I agree that the gas tank is annoyingly small. The range is about 150 miles on a tank and not much more. My bike runs fine on "Regular" gas. I do have a couple criticisms of the bike. The low center of gravity (the gas tank is below the seat) is very nice when cruising at low speeds, but the bike does not lay into turns easily either, you really have to push it hard into any kind of sharp turn. The other point is that the gearing seems to be a little off for this size bike, second gear seems a little too high for turning on any semi narrow street, turning on BIG streets is wonderful and a breeze. The shaft drive is also a bit on the noisy side. The factory seat is very comfortable. The wife and I recently took a 700 mile trip to the California central coast, the bike was a dream to ride and performed without issue. |

| | I have experienced between 46 MPG in the city and 52 MPG on the highway when running 65 - 80 for long distances. The 150 is the furthest I pushed my luck and it still had a good .5 left but ... didn't need to be stranded if the guage was optimistic or the city/highway didn't work out to be a try 52 MPG. You can surely go 150 though! |

| You can skip the added expense of premium cause your bike is made to run 87. Every cent you spend to add premium is in addition to the extra expense of possibly replacing valves, pistons, or other items when the extended burn time of premium gas results in burned valves and or pistons! Got this from a mechanic who has worked on many models of crusiers who ran 89/93 octane in bikes designed to use 87. You call but I trust him and his experience (28+) with all brands

| | I was debating between the honda as well. I bought the '05. 3.7 is total tank volume. It uses regular gas just fine due to the 8.4 compression ratio. The C50 is water cooled, not the C90t. It does get warm as any engine would but not uncomfortably hot. The oil cooler seems to help a lot. The Honda will be smoother but if you want the true cruiser look and sound for very little money go with the suzuki. I paid 9850 for a new '05 C90T in April '06. |

| Small tank, no reserve, when the last bar flashes you have .90 of a gallon left before dry. 130 per tank, reg gas only called for, and no over heating problems noted after 9,000 miles during the year and a half that I have owned her.

| | 87 octane unless you live in real hill country and 100* days, premium is a waste of money if you dont need it. I have a 150 mile range to the last bar, probably another 30/40 miles as my psychological 'reserve' and am ready to walk around to ease my big fat bottom by then anyway. If you tour isolated areas where you're uncertain of the next fuel supply, fill up more often. |
