| My 05 vtx 1300 has a false neutral between 4th and 5th and shifting from 5th to 4th all by itself yikes!! i've taken it to icon power sports 8 times and they say there is no problem with the bike along with honda's rep has anyone else had this problem?

| I have the same problem. I also have the 05 vtx 1300. I've only had the bike for a couple of months and have put about 2500 miles on it. I have had a flase neutral between 4th and 5th. It has done it about five times now. Haven't had a chance to have it looked at though.

| I have a 2006 VTX 1300 R and I have the same problem. Gotta pop it twice sometimes as it appears to go into Nuetral between 4 nd 5th gear. I thought it was me so this helps me too. I plan on having it looked at t his weekend. If I get any answers I will let you know.

| | I'm in the same boat. my '05 has the same issue and the dealer told me nothing was wrong with the bike, it was just my riding style. 20+ year of riding and never had issues between any gears except occasionaly missing second and hitting neutral. I'm heading to the dealership in the AM and will show them neutral between 4-5 gear. I'll update with their response. Until then ride safe! |
