i just bought my Suzuki GZ250 and seems like it has a power problem… the bike is 2002 but has only 4500 miles and it has no power, first, second and third gear seems ok and can accelerate up to almost 40 miles but after that there is no power for more , forth and fifth gear stays the same speed and power and she doesn´t seem that she want to go more basically after third gear there is no need to change gear because there is no power anyway 40 miles is the top speed …
Does anybody had the same problem ? and how you find the problem and how you solve it ? I will appreciate any information about in my e-mail chrisandy@hotmail.com or here

No, I'm not totally certain as to your bike's problem, but it sounds like a fuel problem where it's running far too lean. Your carb should have an idle/cruising jet and a high speed jet. The h.s. jet could be set too lean, which would restrict the flow of fuel and prevent it from having its normal power in the mid-upper RPM range of your top gears. 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears should still provide decent accelleration, but then your power would severely flatten out once your shifted into 4th and 5th. Good luck.
