| what can i do to stop speedodemeter from rattling when accelorating evertthing is tight

| I just purchased a new 2006 leftover VTX-1300R. I had it delivered just about a week ago. 1st...I am am having a rough time getting bike started and warmed up, dealer said the bike takes longer to warm up than my 750 shadow, once I was able to ride the 2nd thing I noticed was the plastic speedometer vibrating louder than the engine..!! I was/am not happy, I also checked and all screws were tight...Did you have any luck getting yours to calm down any..?
Also...update...after just 90 miles on this bike ( two rides ).. I can no longer keep the engine running, will idle with full choke, but anything less than 50% choke the bike stalls, can not ride because once you put it in gear and give it gas it back fire's...Called dealer...he say's he will try to get out to the house to pick up bike sometime in the next few weeks....What ever happened to Service After The Sale..? |

| I took mine (1300R) off and tried to stop the rattle but no success yet
There is a sticky weatherstripping like ring around the speedometer that
does not fit very well that I think is supposed to sit between the speedometer and the chrome plastic. I am going to replace mine with
a big rubber band and see if that works. |

I have a 2005 1300R. The speedometer drove me crazy.I bought a tank bib for $30.00 from custom cruiser and that stopped the rattle.I have a friend that stuffed rags under it to stop it. |
