i want to buy a bike but am not sure if i should wait until the 2008 models come out?

not til spring. the bikes you're looking at, the ninja 500, 250, and the suz gs500f, don't change from year to year very often, but you can call the dealer and ask if a bike is set to be re-designed for next year. its likely the only thing changing is the color for these bikes.

I spoke too soon. It looks like suzuki will be offering a new bike that's sort of in the same class next year. its the GSX650F. the labeling would indicate that its basically a Katana 650, but i don't know if there's a plan to have it replace the GS500f. I would guess that they'll still be offering the 500, because its a twin, and the new 650 is a four, so they'll probably both be available. the 650 would likely be a good bike in that same category of less aggressive street bikes, although higher performance than the 500's and 250.
