| I've had a 2003 FXDXT for about a month now, and have the same brake-drag sound from the front axle, and, yes, it goes away when I apply the front brake lightly. I do intend to look into it when I get it to a dealer.
I have not had any shifting problems as you describe, going from neutral to first. I came to this bike from a sport-tourer, and it was quite a change, but as I get used to the different handling characteristics, I'm really beginning to enjoy it. It's gotta be the best handling bike Harley's ever put on the road.

| Steve,
I have a 2003 FXDX-T. I love it. I do not like the windshield size though. Did you get any info on larger windshield for the bike.
I appriciate any kick back,
Thanks,
Cleon

| I have a dyna sport 2004 in the UK, and the brake noise is as described with only riding the brake a so far solution. The dealers tell me its normal, and I think HD should worry, as without a cure I am looking at Japan for a solution. Oiling the discs work but then the brakes remind me of my cafe racer!

| | I am not sure about your brake problem-sounds like your caliper is sticky-kinda unusual. The shifting thing-I think your linkage just needs an adjustment. |
