I would say yes, but it all depends on what type of riding you will be doing. If it is motocross then yes, because it is already 50 inches wide, this will save you thousands of dollars because you dont have to purchase new a-arms and new shocks to make it 50 inches. Plus with a simple pipe and cherry bomb this bike is already by far faster then the 450R. I raced one in California and he had tons of motor work done to it, he would catch me in the corners, but when it came to the straights I would pass him every time.

Now if you are wanting to ride in the woods then I would suggest getting the 450R because it is already narrow for the trails in the woods. You dont want to have 50inches in the woods you want to be at least 48 inches, believe me 2 inches is a big difference there.

no the 450r is faster, more comfortable, lighter, not as wide so it won't get stuck in the woods. it is an awesome machine and it looks awesome
