| | I am 5'2 and want to start learning how to ride motorcycles. Is this a good first bike? Will it be too much power for me? I think the ZX14 would be a good choice for me because I will probably not outgrow it for at least 2 years. Thanks. |

| | I hope this is a joke! Stick with a 600cc bike and you might live. It can take forever to outgrow one anyway. In fact, you can't outgrow it and its many advantages. Please, for your sake do a little research, learn before you leap off the cliff. Motorcycles are wonderfull, but it's hard to experience the bliss if you're D.O.A. |

| | Yes, buy a zx14. Don't bother with a helmet as this is a beginers bike and you don't really need one. You might also want to buy some speed accessories since this bike is so underpowered that you might need to speed it up some just to get around traffic. |

| | I have been riding for three years now. My first bike was an 03 Z1000 I bought new in 05. I got a great deal on the bike and it was my first bike. It was (I think) the best first bike I could have chosen. When I took my endorsment riding test I just idolled through the cones and passed the test the first time out & scored 100%. I thought the bike (Z 1000) was too big for my first bike and only rode it one summer before taking my test. I really liked the bike and would recommend it as a first bike. I think you should reconsider a slightly smaller bike for your first bike. This bike is heavy and so so fast. I also would hate to see what the repair costs would be if you were to drop it with all the bodywork. Not to mention this bike is scary fast and even for the seasoned riders. Good luck and GODSPEED. |

| oh the other thing I wanted to tell you is that if you are learning how to ride get a 500 ninja, or like the guy said before ride the 1400 with a power commander and pipe and no helmet so we can buy whatever is left on ebay...Peace
