| I have been on both the R1200C and CL. There handlebar reach is totally different with the C being perfect fit for me but I would like the dressed cruiser. Do you find the CL to be tiring on a long trip because of the handlebar being wider and shorter.

| Jim:
I am 5 foot 10 inches tall and find the bars not tiring at all on my R 1200 CL. In addition I can shift around at leaisure either riding way back and putting all my wight on the backrest or sit more upright. If I put my feet on the passenger pegs, additionally you can crouch forward and tuck under the windscreen to stretch. Just rode it yesterday over 300 miles with just one stop for gas and I could have gone longer but had reached my destination. Hope this helps. By the way the aerodynamics of the CL are great. I used to get buffeted by the wind quite a bit if I was on the same mentioned trip with my '82 Honda Silverwing GL-500 Interstate but not so with the Beemer. I love this bike!!! |

| Hi Jim
I see you have a windscreen on your bike. I have a R1200C and I'm looking for an appropriate windscreen. What is the origin of your windscreen?
Thaks in advance,
