| | If this bike is fuel injected, why does it still have a choke? |

| | My guess would be - the FI is NOT electronic, rather it is mechanical which could account for the choke. I just bought an '05 - I noticed the manual choke as well; however, I have not researched the choke issue - so this is just a guess. |

| | It is NOT a choke. It is simply an idle speed control to assist in faster warm up if needed. |

| Its just for enriching the fuel for cold starts.

| I was told by the mechanic where I bought my 2005 vulcan 1500 that it is not a choke but a fast idle arm...he said can't be a choke since it's fuel injection

| Actually its not really a choke. Its a cold start fast idle knob. Almost same priciple but helps lube your bike with high rpms on cold startup.
