| Yes thay can hurt. If you have carpultunell. Heavy breaking doesent help matters. I put cruz control on mine to give the right hand a rest on long rides.

| I flew down to Florida and bought my 'Busa there then drove it back to Pa. The first day of the ride I developed carpal-tunnel in my right hand because you can't let go of the throttle and stay up with traffic - the engine braking is significant and someone could run up your back. So I had to keep it on the throttle for about 8 hours. Next day I headed for the nearest bike shop and bought and installed a cruise control but the carpal tunnel lasted for about 4 months. Wrists tend to hurt a little at low speeds but at 70+, the wind tends to lift you a bit taking much of your weight off the handlebars.
