| Okay, here goes! I own a very troubled 2001 Buell Blast. I have just under 1000 miles on it so far, and now it's starting to stalling out while in the process of accelerating in either first, second, or third gear if I can even make it that far through the gears. The bike completely stalls, no speedo, no indicators, not even a neutral light when I try to look for it. After a few moments the speedo comes back alive, and I can fire right back up. But then it stalls again right after I go through a few gears.
Besides the fact that I might have bought a lemon. Does anyone out there have some sound advice on dealing with this problem. Anyone else out there experience this same issue? Thanks!

| Did you have the 1000 mile service done to the bike? Sometimes they over tighten the primary. Aside from that, take it in to a good dealer that knows what they're doing

| My 2001 Blast had problems as well. Mine stalled alot and found out it was the ignition module that burned out. Lots of people are having problems with it. I also had the cylinder and valve go on mine after 9000 miles. I fought the H-D company hard and won. My bet is that your problem is with the ignition module. I recommend that you dump your bike and get a Victory. That's what I did. Best thing I have ever done.

| John, If you're still looking for an answer here are several to look for:If the engine quits, lights go out, gages die you have lost power to the circuits or your lost the battery ground connection; start by checking the ohm resistance from battery terminal to good ground on engine should be zero or very close to it. Next check voltage drop, with key on, from positive battery terminal to cable end (should be less than .02v). Continue this process until you get to the problem which will have a 12.0 v drop. Wiggle the cables and wires you are checking while you are testing; when you get to the circuit breakers check the ohm across with power on should be less than .03(circuit breakers will reset when they cool down). Last resort is to jumper wire from battery positive to coil white after disconnecting the circuit breaker. Happy hunting.

| We had our Harley electragide shipped from the states when we moved here. Soon afterwards I had the very same problems your experiencing. I finaly diagnosed a faulty electronic ignition system and have NOT had a problem since I replaced it.
