2005 VN2000 clutch problems. Only 250 miles on the beast and I have to adjust the clutch cable multiple times a day to get the clutch to dis-engage. Something in the clutch is expanding when the engine gets hot. Anyone else having this problem?

It sounds like your problem is only with your bike. I have a 2005 and I have two other friends withe same bike and none of us have had that problem. Take it to the Kawi dealer let them check it out.

I to adjust mine as well a little, but the first thing to make sure of is the free travel on the clutch lever. I ran into a guy in Rapid City who burnt his clutch out in 1700 miles because of improper adjustment. I had trouble find the happy medium as well... Found out oil level affected this clutch proformance or drag. It can be overfilled and not show on the dipstick because of the 2 scavenger pumps and sump areas.

I'm having this issue after riding from Daytona Beach to Miami Beach and back. I run 20w50 weight oil and I'm wondering if maybe it is to thick causing the problem. On the way back it was singing so loud that I could hear it over all the road noise, exhaust, and full face helmet. After an oil change it has gotten quieter but I think the damage is done. Possibly the air temp on the trip was the main factor and I should have had a lighter oil in it, (low 40's when we hit home-most of the trip in the low 50's).
