| can the ecu be altered so that there is no power restriction in the lower gears?

| If you get a Tuneboy there is a tune available to remove the power restrictions in the first two gears.
A lot of info is available at the R3 owners.net site, there is a whole section devoted to this topic and the use of the Tuneboy or the Power Comander III to fine tune this beast.

| Since I could not edit my last post, I wanted to add one more thing, there is currently no factory (OEM) tune to eliminate the power restriction in the first two gears. You have to use aftermarket fixes.
