| Hey everyone,
I was going in to buy a 2005 SportsterC, and just came across a 1994 Heritage Softail (loaded) Not a long time rider by any means, can someone give me a heads up in which direction makes sense? The '94 has everything I want on it, but it is 10 yrs old. Any comments are more than welcome! Thanks

| the thing you have to remember is this. the 94 model is a rigid mounted bike, that means the motor is not rubber isolated and it has no counterbalancers in the motor, so at highway speeds it might vibrate a lot, some do some dont, its just something to be aware of, and the price difference in a model that old and a newer one, is not going to be that bad, I ride a 00 hugger 883 and I can go down the highway at 70 mph and its o.k. any thing over 75 and it will put your hands and butt to sleep, if you can afford it go with a rubber mount in the dyna,s or the new counter balance twin cam 88B in the softails, you wont regret it, take your time, the market for big twins is starting to stabalize and prices are starting to come down! dont rush, or you will be another statistic, personally I really like the new sportster, mine is road worthy (00 hugger) Im sure the 1200 custom is no different, as a matter of fact, Im going to look at one this weekend, but I got my eye ona 00 FXDWG, sweet bike!!!!!!!!!!

| I ride a 05 1200 Custom and it is a great bike. The 10 year old HD is a good bike, but will be more prone to maintenance issues. The 1200 Custom is very reliable, comfortable and powerful. Get the 1200 you won't regret it. |
