| Break it in the way the owners manual tells you to. I know you want to open it up now but in the long run your bike will run better with the proper factory recommended break in procedure. They put it in the manual for a reason and it will be done before you know it. It will give you an excuse to ride more.

| Under 5000rpm for the first 500 miles. Under 7000rpm the next 500miles and if your a anal about your bike...under 10,000rpm the next 500miles then the sky is your limit. HAVE FUN!!

| Ahhhh...yes. Two more casualties to manufacturer pablum. The reason for the sticker on your tank is liability of the owner and has nothing to do with the science of engine break-in. It's actually the opposite of what should be performed. Read this article, and read it good: http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm
Super good ring seal is what it's all about, and if you don't achieve this in the first 20 miles through 100 miles, forget it. You need massive internal cylinder pressure to get the best results = full throttle; followed by massive vacuum = full spectrum engine-breaking (engine deceleration without use of brakes). Read up.
