Has anyone installed a lowering kit on this bike? Did the 1-2" make a big difference? I'm too damn short for it, and the dealer has ordered a lowering kit that is not supposed to affect handling.

thanks.

I have an '03 400R enduro version and installed the Koubalink lowering kit. I'm 5'9 and 160lbs. It lowered the seat by around 2 inches and also, dropped the forks in the triple clamps. The new links worked okay for the road but found that I had to really increase the preload on the shock. Despite that, I still bottomed out frequently when off roading. PLus the bike just didn't look right with the suspension lowered. I ended up reinstalling the original links and cut the seat down by about an inch and a half. Everything seems to work better now.
