Do the rocker boxes still leak? I had this problem with my '99 until I installed James gaskets. I always warm the engine for about 3 mins before starting out. No problems for years. My bike's vibrations broke two positive battery cables. Is this a problem with the new rubber mounted engines? Thanks

I haven't had any problems with the rocker boxes yet, like I did on my '98 1200s. I replaced the battery cables on my '98 with light gauge, quality welding cable. It is far more flexible and durable than the factory wires. Do yourself a favor and cut them a little longer than factory length. It makes install/removal easier and reduces strain on the cables. The new bikes are much smoother than the old. I think even smoother than my dyna and road king.

Yes, they still leak, but like your '99' are fixable. The engine still vibrates like all hell, but the rubber mount isolates it from the frame and rider. Haven't experienced any cable problems.
