| I've read some reviews regarding the Nomad and it's fuel injection. Some riders have experienced stalling during operation. Is this typical of the FI ? Anything to add regarding this issue, greatly appreciated. .......I own a Kaw.1500E and have been satisified and am looking to upgrade to a Nomad. Safe riding to all.

| Mine stalled now and then when slowing or taking off and it turned out the idle speed was too low - should be 950 to 1000 rpm. The dealer reset it by ear and no probs - later I fitted a tacho and discovered that his hearing was spot on.
My only complaint now is that it needs premium fuel or it pings. I use 98 Ron in Australia which I think is equivalent to about 94 in the USA. I'm thinking about fitting a power commander III chip as I think these bikes are set up too lean....

| Kristo is right on. Mine stalled right after I took it home. It was 100+ deg outside. Turned up the idle, no more worries.

| The Nomad's fuel injection system was revamped a year or so ago to offer better more complete atomization of the fuel by a 12-hole injection nossle.
There have been some complaints about stalling issues resulting from over-filling the fuel tank and causing a partial vapor-lock condition. Proper filling with the best highest octance fuel available is all that is required.
Rare instances of injection mapping and
fuel control issues were initially encountered but have (according to Kawasaki) been eliminated.
