| How is the comfort in city traffic? Comfort is my main concern. Is the clutch heavy? I currently ride a BMW 1150R that is very comfortable... just not enough sizzle.

| stick with the 1150r if you want comfort, if you want to fell adrenaline running through your body buy the s4r. but the motor is very torquie and the dry cluch is heavy. traffic sucks. its fun though!!!

| The clutch is little bit heavy, however you can do two things to soften it up. The simpler method is to remove two springs from the pressure plate. There are quite few people on Ducati Monster List who done it and did not experience any slipping at all.
Second is to buy aftermarket slave cylinder ($80 to $120). This will make the clutch softer and you will have slave cylinder with 3 instead of 2 seals so no leakage in future.

| In traffic the S4R can be a real chore to ride as the engine (996)is a bit tempermental and (as has been said) the clutch is heavy. Additionally I note quite a bit of heat on my legs.
That said, the bike is AWESOME to ride. I will jump on to do a short run and I find myself going the LONG way to where I am going and then driving an extra 30 miles before I realize it. It is that fun!
Superb handling, braking, and the craftsmanship is second to none.
I regularly see people pull up next to me on the highway and gawk at the bike. (Maybe it is because of the sweet music of my Termignoni pipes?)
