| I have a 1990 polaris indy 500 after riding the sled for about 5 minutes it starts to boog and the exhaust gets hot enough to melt the plastic were the exhaust exits someone said it could be pluged how do I fix that or what do you think it is thanks

| hey i no what exactly to do this happened to my sled i got the exact same as you a 1990 polaris indy 500 and what i did was i put brand new pistons in and then i bought a stinger exhaust pipe and it has so much power now and it works perfect so i suggest you do that or if you dont no how to do that take it to a mechanic and tell him to put new pistons in, I put a stinger on just for the noise but u could keep your stock pipe if you want.

| Your sled is running lean, turn in the air screw on your carb half turn, if this does not help... crank seals are due

| well what your going want 2 do is get a whole new exhuast pipes...then try 2 repair the pistons..but i think trhat your exhuast is over heating..try black magic pipes for your sled
