| First time rider, looking at this bike. I wanted to buy the 749 but it was discontinued. Is this a good bike to start out on. I like the quality of Ducati bikes and I am not an agressive driver. Is this bike a good choice?

| A must buy, at this price it is a steal if you get on the list to purchase. do some homework, keep it clean, be safe. expensive to repair, if you drive it daily. v-twin different than 4 cylinder jap bike. 160 hp....... have fun

| | I would never consider something like this for a first bike, you would have to be bonkers. This bike is way too expensive and has far too much power for a first bike. You will either end up costing yourself a fortune or doing yourself an injury. I would suggest a used 600 for a first bike. The first thing you should learn to accept when you are learning is that there is an 85% chance you will drop it. You dont want to drop a ducati! |

| First time rider?? I'm glad you have good taste, but realistically, this is the last choice on you list if you are a new rider. Just like what I say to the people who I care about when they ask what bike they should get. I always tell them go get an inexpensive bike they don't mind dropping because that bike will be lying on the side at least once in its short life span. You don't have to beat yourself to death for destroying the bike of your dreams. Also, do it right! GET YOUR LICENSE FIRST! It means Life or Death. You can always upgrade to a better bike. This is the BEST bike in my opinion, so don't start from the top.
