| I'm looking at both the 1500 and 1600 Classics. I'm leaning towards the 1500 but I'm concerned about the 1500's brakes: compared to the 1600, the 1500 only has a single disk in the front and a smaller disk in the rear. Do 1500 owners find this setup sufficient? Any comments on this would be much appreciated.

| I own a 2005 1500 classic
I have had to make a couple of panic stops. I see nothing wrong with the brakes.

| The rear brake will lock the wheel at will, while the front brake is a two-finger stopper for me, after 41,800 miles. It should not be a problem.
