i have had a v force since the first year they came out. the only problem i have had is keeping everyone else off it. some people have complained that the grab bar has broken on them. i put a six pack rack to cure this. otherwise not one mechanical problem at all. i ride it hard. i am primarily a sand dune rider though. good luck

So far mine has been perfect, But I don't abuse equipment, leave them mostly stock, and don't ride over my head.

Ive Raced mine hard all last season and the only thing to breaks was the battery cradle and a tie rod. Comprestion is still perfect. Not bad for 14 races full bore for 2 hours.

this quad is very reliable i have an 2004 the only thing i changed is the oil to mobil 1 and a k&n air filter. the first thing that broke on it's own and not my doing is the air filter split at the seam and of course bent right tie rod cure for that tack weld sleeves on tie rods
