I have about 4,000 miles on my Nomad. I absolutly love the bike. I have one aggrevation. When started cold, my bike seems to be very noisy, like valve tapping. I goes away after the bike reaches normal op temp. My dealer says it is normal but my experience with hydraulic lifters is you do get this noise. Everyone reviewing loved there bikes and none mentioned this. Does anyone else experience this?

Mine does it and I'm told it's one of the quieter ones. Everyone I've spoken to says the same thing - its just a characteristic of the model.

I have 5200 miles on mine and I have heard the same noise. I use Mobil synthetic and the noise goes away in about a minute. It may be the tapit you hear not the lifter, even with the overhead cam they have a tapit arraignment.
