| I swear you will have a ton of fun on the xb12r. It is an absolutely sick motorcycle. Here are my reason why you should go with this bike:
1)Everyone and thier mother has an R1
2) This bike really stands out...in a good way... people will know you are coming.
3)way more comfortable to ride
4)Nothing beats the sounds of a harley v-twin rumble
5)neighbors will hate you, especially if you add aftermarket pipes.
6) Torque and lots of it = wheelies
7)twisties will bow to you
8)its f*ing gorgeous
9)its a v-twin
10)It absolutley handles amazing, extra low center of gravity and low weight(385 lbs i think, dry)

| | Get the buell more fun in real world conditions. R1 awsome bike to go 170 MPH are you really going to ride there every day?I dont think so. Buell real street power you will eat R1 cbrs and GSXR in the twisties. All those bikes are awsome but i dont need to ride straits at 170. however i love to ride, and how much faster then 140 should i really have to go?Fun and grins that is what Buell has to offer. When it comes to looks. Take peak which bike is really the cleaner one?Buell XB12R Firebolt my choice.I also like the S. |

| | The firebolt is a much better bike. the perfect balance with fuel in the frame and oil in the swing arm, inverted forks, reverse front brake :bigger rotor much better braking, idler pully keeps you belt taught and you can tell a huge difference, and the interactive exaust pipe is the sickest pipe made thing ever. |

| The other Patriotic American folks have given great American testimonials on the American made Buell. I, as an American, have only one American reason why you should buy the American bike....

| USA
Bolt on a Vance and Hines Pipe
and rip up the streets!
Can't beat the torque and v-twin rumble...
Both can get you tickets.

| I've owned both bikes so I can give you some advice. It really depends on what you want in a bike. The R1 is a much more powerful bike so if you want straight performance the R1 is your bike. If you want character and a unique bike the Buell is the better choice. I had my R1 for 7 years and loved it but as I got older I wanted something a little different so I bought the Buell. It's not as fast as the R1 but it is definitely as much fun to ride and in my opinion handles better (just my opinion). I also notice lots of people checking out the Buell since it's a unique looking bike and you don't see them very often.
