I was Thinking of buying the Monster 620 dark as my first bike, but i was wondering can you put a second rider on it or not. Also is the Ducati Monster 620 dark a good choice for a first bike.

I just checked one out today. The seat cowl that you see in the picture comes off. The seat goes all the way back to the fender/rack. Also, notice there are passenger pegs.

I do not know how comfortable this bike would be for another rider. I would like an answer to that question also.

I have a silver 620 i.e. dark and its awesome. It will take a second person no problem, but for a second person its not the smoothest ride a cruiser would be better. I would not recomend this unless you have had descent experience riding (riding a 70cc trail bike your uncle had doesnt count). I would definately save this to be a second bike or third. It is very agile and very powerful but I dont feel it is meant for beginners. I learned on a Suzuki GS450 and it was a light cruiser and perfect for a first bike.

I bought a 2002 ducati monster 620ie dark last year. Up til then I had never even sat on a motorcycle. I taught myself, it is an awesome bike, great handling and good speed for a beginner. Reliable

These are great bikes but I think it should be you second or third bike you need to start on something a little slower and forgiving. plus your insurance would be a killer.you can ride 2 up the cowl onthe seat comes off but the second rider should be light and fast.
