I think mechanical reverse was a opption at that time. However, I bought the PERC electronic kit for mine, and I love it!! I will not have a nother sled without reverse. The kit was expensive ($500) but it comes with a new roller secondary clutch (the TEAM roller)I installed it myself and it is quite involved(it comes with a new wiring harness and CDI module and took a while to put on But I will tell you I love it!!!
