| My k100rs 1986 was running fine. After a short lay up i charged the battery. No probs till i turned on the ignition, the rev counter needle started to sweep around the clock even though i had not started the engine. The bike will now not start. there is a big fat spark at the plugs and plenty of fuel. Any help would be much appreciated.

| Dear Mr. Ross: I noted that the problems started after you connected a battery charger. Are you absolutely sure you did not accidentally connect the charger backwards (reverse polarity) and damage components in the electrical system? -Sherrill; in Virginia, USA
