| | The stock 51 is not loud, has a top speed of about 175 mph, and is not Honda's most powerful bike: That honor goes to the CBR1000RR, which reportedly generates about 150 rear-wheel HP. A late-model 51 generates about 120 RWHP. |

| | I have 2 brothers on it and it's loud, I have had mine go 178 and still had more, I've also heard that the 1000RR is the fastest but I have yet to be proven |

| I know for a fact that its loud but as for its top speed i dont know.

| | I've also heard that CBR1000rr is the fastest but the 2005 51 has the v-twin with the most power and the best handling in the world. Not to mention the torque increase. |

| You guys that say your RC51 will do 170 or more are liars. At sea level in perfect conditions, maybe 165 or so. Colorado? Ha! Good luck. I purchased a speedo recalibrator for mine, and I will tell you that if you are believing what Honda's speedo is telling you, I have some swamp land in Florida I would like to sell you on Ebay. As far as loud...Bull! It is very quiet. That's why I bought Yoshimura's for mine. Sweet sound. As far as you stunters out there asking about the speed and horsepower...Go Buy a GSXR or R-6 or R-1. Please stay away from the RC's. It is a classy bike and you do not belong. Mine has Ohlin's suspension, Power Commander, flapper and soft rev mods, helibars, Sato frame sliders, Moriwaki louvers,and more. It is a beautiful sweet handling, slightly overweight Miss Piggy, but I love her.

| THE BIKE IS A NICE LOUD. TOP SPEED ON MY BIKE IT 187MPH ON THE CLUSTER, DOES NOT MEAN ITS ACCURATE. ITS NOT THE FASTEST HONDA. FOR THE GUY IN COLORADO THE SPEEDO RECALIBRATOR IS NOT ACCURATE , HAVE 2 DIFF BRANDS AND GUN ALLWAYS DIFF SPEEDS.NICE BIKE, BEST V TWIN.

| well cant be that off,i raced a few car that do 180 plus.was right there i have hit 176 with little more to go,just have 2 brothers slip on..which might be a bad thing sence i dont have a pokwe commander yet...so if honda is off so is every other bike i have race ever brand well almost lol..
