I have bought an 06 RXT and i have been riding it nonstop for 3 days to break in the engine. i know that after 10 hours the engine is completely broken in, i have about 7 on it now and it tops out at about 67-68 mph. once i reach the 10 hour break in, would i be able to get a couple more mph out of it?????? and is it bad to be topping out this early in the break in????? please write back

Bad move on your part.... break in time should only max out at 3/4 throttle... never hit full throttle during the first 10 hours. Then change oil and filter first...

Halfway thru the break-in period and already nailing the throttle fully? Didn't you read anything in the manual? dropping 12k on a toy and beating the hell out of it really is not smart

I disagree with the last two comments. Go to greenhulk.net. This site is dedicated to RXTs. Most of these guys race thier machines and they can tell you from past experience the right way to break in your machine. Run it for three hours not going over 3/4 throttle. Make sure you run at different RPMs. After the 3 hours. You can run at full throttle for short bursts. Again make sure you are running at different RPMs. I did this and my ski runs at 67 miles an hour all day with 70 hours on it. No problems at all. By the way - The top speed is 67-68. You need to modify your ski to make it run faster.
