| Hey Steve,
I never rode a vespa, sorry, but I commute to work "everyday" in New York City traffic, at rush hour. My 2002 has enough power to leave the cars at the light when it changes. My only complaint is that it takes forever to warm up.I have 2k miles on it.I like riding it, just wish it had a few more horses, but I cant ride over 40 mph on my commute so its fine. I had her up to 46 Mph,not bad.I'd like to hear from you. By the way, I rode the whole winter, snow, rain ,sleet, and fog. My record is "14 degrees' the bike never warmed up.
Reguards.
Kevin

| Steve, I have an Elite 80. My best answer is to test drive the Vespa. Steel body and larger diameter tires equals amazing stability. The 150cc engine rolls this Wasp at speeds of over 65 mph The cost os almost twice the price of the Honda but I feel it is worth it. I will soon be selling my 2002 with only 1500 miles on it so I can get my Vespa. Hope this helps answer your question...any further detailed questions, just e mail me rclasen@cox.net Good luck!!

| GOOD QUESTION! Assuming you're talking about the Vespa ET4 (150cc), it's really a matter of your style, prefference, and wallet. The Vespa is more than twice the price of the Honda, but it can offer more speed, acceleration and quality, depending on where you live. The Elite 80 is a peppy scooter, very comfortable ride, and quiet and simple to opperate. the ET4 is faster, but is way more money. If you're commuting locally, within a few miles to work, on a reasonably low speed limit, then the Elite 80 is the scooter for you. If you have to go much farther, or on roads with high speeds, then I recommend the Vespa. Both are very very well-made scooters. They both have their ups and downs, but never-the-less, Honda and Vespa are two of some of the best scooter manufacturers in the world. For more info/questions, e-mail me at Dgadude@verizon.net
