| I just faced this same dilemma myself as both seem to be quality vehicles. Honda would not allow me to test drive
while Yamaha had nothing to hide. The Yamaha has some pep and it's the one I bought. It has a sporty look and of all the reviews I could find it was rated very high in satisfaction and quality, you also can ride on and off road.....
It also has some nice features ,hope that helps....Sure you could'nt go wrong either way though..... |

| I've had both, first I bought a used 99 Zuma. They are a blast, very fast, and really a nice all around scooter. Now I have a Ruckus, WOW what a difference it seems more refined the trans is smoother the ride is also smoother. The drum brakes on the ruckus work as well as the disc on the zuma. The honda is a bit slower on take off, however, top speed seems to be about the same. I beleve the liquid cooled honda motor will last longer, heat can take it's toll on air cooled motors much sooner! I think one of the main reasons I'm going to stay with Honda is because of the noise factor, the Zuma is very loud compaired to Ruckus. They are both state of the art scooters. I just like the Honda better, for me! I'm even looking for the 2005 Big Ruckus 250. I hope this helps someone!

| I almost bought a Zuma but decided on the Ruckus. It's faster out of the box and looks better for a man compared to the plkastic body on the zuma. Let me know what you think. bovw3@aol.com
