any and all input on the new Buell Lightening is appreciated as I am seriously considering getting one but am somewhat hesitant due to all the recalls and bad ink. Thanks, Ray

Check out the Lightning article in the December 2002 issue of Cycle World. They seem to really be catching on to what motorcycling is all about. And the Lightning is a huge part of that. Stars and Stripes forever!

Just got mine 2 weeks ago and 500 miles later I'm just as happy as the day I got it. No complaints at all. I've read a lot of reviews on the net, most of them good, but a few not so good from so-called experienced riders. Those guys tend to say the bike is underpowered and a bit twitchy. Personally I'm finally graduating from my first bike, a HD sporty. Any increase in horsepower and handling is appreciated by me! This new bike has more than enough power to get me in real trouble! Anybody that needs more should be on a race track...not the street. With the recent MSRP reduction to $8995, it's a good deal. There are cheaper Japanese bikes and more exotic Italians, but for me it's the Buell. It's more unique than just about anything out there! Hope this helps---------B

I live in Australia and have had mine now for 4 weeks. WOOOOOOHHHHOOOO, I am still smiling. Best all round bike I have ever owned, with a smile factor second to none. Put the race kit on though, cant beat that deep throaty note.
