| I bought a 2004.5 700 twin and I have a metal on metal sound when I first give it gas, is anyone eles having the same sound. I talked to my dealer and he said that was normal.

| we bought a polaris 500 sportsman ho 2004.5 and we have the same sounds. my neigbor has one aswell and he experiences the same thing.

| mine does it some times
it would help if you rev it up a little bit in neatrul before shifting into high or low gear then it wont do itn as much |

| | No, it's not normal. The gear box has a hex set screw for this adjustment. See your dealer and ask him about it. My dealer didn't know about it until I bothered him so much he had to call Polaris. |
